Rosa Melacca Boutique Hotel, Melaka, Malaysia

With the smell of a new hotel still in the air, Rosa Melacca Boutique Hotel feels like an upscale New York loft apartment. Recommended by our friend Nicole Fu Chew Xiang, a Design Lecturer at Sunway University, we stayed here for a weekend in January. We loved the classy, cool vibe of the place. The ground floor offers a large and comfy sitting area where it’s easy and comfortable to wait for your complimentary Uber to whisk you away to the airport (code provided by the hotel).

The Level One Reception Area has a warm, clean feel and a marvelous décor with woven fabrics and rugs. The warm ambiance is set against the brick and steel frame for a perfect contrast.

Our room was beautiful, clean, and quiet, and the custom mattress was a dream!  Don ‘s top priority in a hotel room is electrical outlets on both sides of the bed, and he gave me a “thumbs up” after checking out the situation in our Premier King room.

Designed by local architect Tony Khoo, Rosa Melacca was the idea of Kumar Balakrisnen and his wife Ana. Kumar received his training from family enterprises in Cameron Highlands and at Les Roches School of Hotel Management in Switzerland. The hotel has five floors surrounding a beautiful courtyard dining area, where a buffet breakfast is served every morning. A second building is scheduled to be constructed soon, designed to meet the needs of families.

The staff members at Rosa Melacca were very accommodating and professional and helped to make our visit truly special. This hotel is our top choice when visiting Melaka. Check it out here.
